An exciting feature of Leopard Rock, is its own Game Sanctuary.
Our family friendly game park overlooks the breathtakingly beautiful Burma Valley, the small Himalaya Mountains and the Chimanimani Mountains in the distance where guided game walks, and game viewing on horseback through the game park can be taken. Evening game viewing from the raised platform can be arranged, accompanied with evening sundowners and canapés. You will see a wide variety of game including impala, zebra, kudu, eland, nyala, giraffe, bushbuck, wildebeest and the rare Samango Monkey and the Blue Duiker.
Our resident guides will take you on a guided walk up into the Enchanted Forrest. They possess a wealth of knowledge on trees, plants and birds as well as local folklore. Occasionally Leopard can be seen in the forest area from time to time, a rare but delightful treat. Hundreds of species of birds can be seen in the Bvumba, which is regarded as something of a bird lover’s paradise. Swynnerton’s Robin is only one of many rare species of birdlife to be identified while walking through the Game Sanctuary or forest.
